Ludhiana, March 03, 2023 (News Team): Nehru Sidhant Kendra Trustis hosting its annual special cultural event Ek Sham Sahir Ke Naam- with the all-India launch of Ek Tha Raja, based on the famous shaayar and lyricist, Raja Mehdi Ali Khan who, lived like and was indeed the Raja of good poetry. This is a uniquely-conceived two and a half-hour musical drama without any break. Interwoven in the show are some of his poems and 51 famous songs which will be sung by such acclaimed singers as Supriya Joshi, Sarvesh Mishra, Sangeeta Melekar, Anand Bahal, Naveen Anand and Nimrata Sharma. In conversation are Sangeeta Gupta (daughter of music maestro Madan Mohan), shaayar Obaid Azam Azmi, Prithvi Haldea and Nandita Kodesia. Some songs of Raja are Lag jaa gale ke phir, Tuu jahaan jahaan chalegaa, Jo hum ne daastaan apnii sunaii, Agar mujh se mohabbat hai, Aapkii nazaron ne samjhaa, Jhumkaa giraa re.
