Ludhiana, August 03, 2017 (Manisha Sharma): Teej was celebrated with great zeal and exuberance in Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass in Ludhiana. Students from P.Nsy. to III attired in beautiful traditional outfits, dazzled everyone with their radiant smiles.
The swings were decorated with flowers. Little ‘Mutiars’ and ‘Gabrus’ enjoyed Giddha and Bhangra, relished kheer, Maal Puras and other sweet dishes. Tanveer from Nsy. was declared as Teej Queen whereas Japjit from P.Nsy. was adjudged as Mr. Punjab. Aradhya, Rehmat from K.G., Chhavi, Mannat, Deepanjali (Grade 1), Gursohin, Zoya (Grade II), Aarohi (Grade III) were declared as the best dressed up ‘Mutiyars’ and Pranav (K.G.), Shourya and Daksh (Grade I) as the best dressed up ‘Gabrus’.
The School Principal, Baldeep Pandher inspired the students to celebrate such festivals to preserve their rich culture and tradition.
