Ludhiana, August 12, 2017 (Manisha Sharma): Teej was celebrated with a great festive fervour by the senior girls of Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass in Ludhiana. The girls looked charmingly beautiful while flaunting traditional Punjabi outfits, colourful phulkaries, parandis, Patiala shahis and juttis along with traditional Punjabi ornaments.
Students performed Giddha, staged Tarinjhans and danced to the tunes of popular folk songs with great gusto. They also relished Kheer Puras and other traditional Punjabi cuisines.
The Principal of the School, Baldeep Pandher extended warm wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Teej. She said that Teej is an occasion to celebrate our age old glorified heritage and culture.
