Ludhiana, August 19, 2017 (Tarvinder Kaur): The Department of Music, Ramgarhia Girls College invited Dev Dildar, Punjabi Sufi Singer for an interactive session with college students. Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur, Ranjodh Singh, President Ramgarhia Educational Council and Jagtar Singh, General Secretary accorded him a warm welcome. The students of the department presented an array of folk songs that enthralled the audience. Dev shared his life experiences with the students.
The Sufi Maestro sang Surjit Patar’s poem ‘Jaga de Mombattian’ and ‘Tu Khush Reha Kar’ in a very soulful voice. The audience developed instant rapport with the singer and encouraged him by applauding. He also shared anecdotes from his early life and narrated how he came in this field and how his talent allowed him to have an opportunity to get into the music industry.
The renowned Punjabi poet Dr. Surjit Patar was also present on the occasion. He thanked Dildar for singing his poems as melodious songs.
At the end of the session, College Management and Principal honoured the singer. Prof. Charanjit Kaur, Head, P.G. Dept. of Music thanked the renowned singer for sharing his deep knowledge and life experiences with the students of the department.
