Students shows Rakhi during Raksha Bandhan celebrations at Green Land Convent School |
Ludhiana, August 07, 2017 (Manisha Sharma): Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar in Ludhiana celebrated “Raksha Bandhan” with great fervor and enthusiasm following the traditional norms. Tiny tots of classes Pre-nursery to K.G. participated with great zeal and performed well in the activity of Rakhi making depicting, their compassion and love towards their brothers and sisters.
The bond between brothers and sister was revealed through lovely and colourful Rakhi’s made by the beautiful hands. Students of classes I to III participated with great interest and gaiety in Intra Class Rakhi Making Competition expressing their love and concern through the golden threads.
The Principal Jyoti Pujara congratulated and extended her greetings on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. She also enlightened the students with the significance of this festival, it is not mere a knot of thread but indeed a promise to keep the sister secure from all adversities. She further emphasized that these traditional celebrations strengthens the bond of love and affection in the relationships.
The day concluded with the sense of accomplishment as students have handmade Rakhis for their brothers.
