Ludhiana, August 01, 2017 (Manisha Sharma): Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar organised ‘Musical Rain Festivity’ for the students of Kindergarten wing to get relief from the scorching heat, to enjoy the showers of rain and to relish the monsoon season.
Saawan, the season of joy, happiness and delicious servings excited the students. The tiny tots welcomed the raindrops by singing songs, walking, dancing, hopping, jumping and waving their multi-hued umbrellas in the rain. They enjoyed playing and dancing with their friends in rain on the popular bollywood numbers. Fun was the only thing that mattered to the students as their smiles said it all.
Pre Primary section was abuzz with this activity. Nature walk in the lush green gardens of the school enthralled the students. Learning by doing helped in vocabulary building where children learnt words like monsoon, raincoat, raindrops, drizzling, gumboots, umbrellas etc. The teachers were mesmerized on seeing their students having so much fun.
The Principal, Jyoti said that this activity was planned with emphasis on development of physical, emotional, mental and cognitive skills. She enriched the students with the pack of new vocabulary and also taught the importance of rain and measures to prevent themselves from getting drenched in rain.
On the whole it was a great fun for the sweet little children who enjoyed the whole experience of rain and chills in this rising heat.
