| Winning Kabaddi players of Green Land Convent School, Dugri in Ludhiana |
Ludhiana, August 02, 2017 (Manisha Sharma): The Kabaddi players of Green Land Convent School, Dugri have brought laurels for the institution by winning 1st Position in U–14 Category Boys and 2nd Position in U–19 Category Boys in Punjab Board Zonal Tournament held at Govt. High School, Dehlon Kalan in Ludhiana.
The Players of U-14 category and U-19 Category left no stone unturned during practice to make their dreams come true. The President, Chain of Green Land Schools Shabad Rudhra congratulated the students and the coach on their achievement. In his message he said, the traditional games like Kabaddi are the real test of one’s stamina and strength. He expressed his satisfaction and happiness for the students for their parallel and equivalently best performance in sports and studies. He informed the students that Physical Health is the backbone of their entire education and career. He further added that no one can ignore the indispensability of sports for fitness.
The Principal of the school Vimmi Thakur also congratulated the whole team. She added that sports championships are necessary to inculcate sportsman spirit in the players.
