Ludhiana. August 13, 2017 (Tarvinder Kaur): The first year students of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management had a joyous time as they were given fun packed welcome by their seniors at Welcome party. The grand banquet was held at Ludhiana Gardens.
Dr. RL Behl, Principal of the college, and Brigadier HS Bhandal, Director Education, inaugurated the function by lighting the candelabra. The whole show was organised under the stewardship of Prof. Atul Shiva, Prof. Dr. Priyansha Mahajan, Prof. Pooja Mehta and Prof. Prerna Ahuja. Mohit Singla, Raghav Aneja, Danish Kapoor, Manpriya, Chahat, Sehaj Sikka, Gautam Bansal, Himanshu Garg and Divsimar acted as student coordinators.
All the students were decked up in the best of their attires. The show whistled with the performances of groups like silver steepers, the underraters, the dazzelers, solo song performance by Kartikeya and his team, and last but to be listed the best bhangra performance by After 8. Raghav Aneja and Danish Kapoor made the audience laugh out loud through their stand-up acts. The performers mesmerized the audience with their performances.
There came the sparkling relish in the show when the seniors decorated the juniors with the fun loaded informal awards. The show got electrified when the rampers with their ramping set the stage afire. The juniors were at their best in the Question Answer round.
The titles of Miss Fresher and Mr. Fresher went to Avneet kaur and Ridham Bansal from BCom respectively. Best Dress was won by Rupali Malhotra while Beautiful Smile goes to Arvinder Kaur. Mr. Witty was awarded to Gursimran Singh and Mr. Handsome to Ishtdeep Singh, whereas Mr Personality was awarded to Ankush. Early Bird prizes were pocketed by Ekagar Asdhir and Minaaldeep Kaur. Lady of the evening was adjudged as Sherril from BCom. At last, all the students shook their legs with the DJ on the best peppy numbers.
