Ludhiana, August 12, 2017 (Tarvinder Kaur): It was a moment of energetic festivity and vibrant merrymaking in Bajaj College as it celebrated its Teej festival ‘Teeyan da Mela 2017’ today. The chief guest for the occasion was Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu, Principal DAV Public School, BRS Nagar in Ludhiana.
She appreciated the enthusiastic cultural performances by the traditionally-clad students and enlightened them about the significance of being attached to one’s roots. She mesmerised the audience with her melodious voice as she graced the occasion with a Punjabi folk song.
She along with Director of the college and Dr. Shikha Dhall, principal of the college, presented the title of Mr. Gabru to Onkar Singh of BBA First semester and Ms Sawan Queen to Simran of BSc First Semester. The titles of Mr Traditional Attire and Ms Traditional Attire were pocketed by Keshav of BBA I and Mamta of BSc I respectively.
The students enjoyed this memorable occasion with thrilling events like modeling, gidha and bhangra along with a hard-to-stop DJ dance session.
