Ludhiana, July 11, 2017 (Online News Ludhiana): To create awareness and sensitize the students regarding the need to grow more trees, Van Mahotsav Week kick started at Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass, Ludhiana. An Inter-section Compering Contest was organized for the students of class VI in which all the students of class VI participated.
The students highlighted the problem of global warming, deforestation, ozone layer depletion.
The students also spoke on the importance and need to preserve trees, natural resources, flora and fauna. The performance of students was quite lively and interesting. All the students pledged to keep the environment green, clean and healthy by planting more and more trees.
The Principal of the school, Baldeep Pandher appreciated the zeal and enthusiasm of the students. They were given tips on how to save the environment and protect their surroundings.
First prize was bagged by Armaan of VI Bacon, Kavya of VI chaucer got the second and Prabhleen of VI Chaucer and Shagun of VI Milton was awarded third prize. Gurkirat of VI Pope got consolation prize.
