Staff members during two days Faculty Development Programme at KCW |
Ludhiana, July 08, 2017 (Online News Ludhiana): To embark upon another productive academic year, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana took the initiative of organizing a two days Faculty Development Programme.
The programme was organized by R. Trainers and Motivators under the aegis of Gurpreet Kaur and Kiranjot Kaur. A total of about 100 staff members attended the same. The session kick-started with the formation of groups like Energensia, Innovators, Creators etc.
The programme aimed at equipping the staff with innovative teaching methods so as to add to their ingenuity and versatility. The global market awaits students armed with more than an academic degree and the staff members are instrumental in gearing them up for the same. The FDP concentrated upon understanding the psychology of the students and bridging the gap between the students and the teachers. Contemporary and ingenuous methods of teaching like Case Study, Brainstorming, PPT, Simulation, Role Playing, Learning Applications were stressed upon.
The Principal, Dr. Mukti Gill, thanked the organizers Sarvjit Kaur and Dr. Priyaka Khanna and motivated the staff members to imbibe what they had learnt in the FDP to be able to achieve new landmarks in the process of imparting quality education.
