Ludhiana, June 15, 2017 (Manisha Sharma): Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to different graduate courses viz. Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H), Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.), B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) and B. Tech. (Biotechnology) programmes.
Dr. Narinder Singh Sharma, Controller of Examinations revealed that a total of 2533 candidates applied for admission to these courses, of which 2366 (93.4%) candidates (1383 boys and 983 girls) appeared in the entrance test in two centers at R.S. Model Senior Secondary School and B.C.M. Arya Model Sr. Sec. School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana.
Deans and Directors of the Varsity had the first hand information about the arrangements for smooth conduct of entrance test and visited the centers. Dr. Sushil Prabhakar, Registrar of the University informed that the first counseling for B.V.Sc & A.H. is scheduled on July 19 whereas for B.F.Sc., B. Tech. (Biotechnology) and B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) on July 20 at the Silver Jubilee Auditorium of the College of Veterinary Science.
The test was conducted for 60 seats of B.V.Sc. & A.H., 18 of B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science), 20 of B.Tech (Biotechnology) and 25 of B.Tech (Dairy Technology) for GADVASU Ludhiana and 60 seats for Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar. The result is likely to be declared in 3-4 days and will be available online at the Gadvasu website.
