Ludhiana, June 03, 2017 (Neel Kamal Sonu): Teacher is a life long learner. The teaching fraternity has to keep abreast with ever changing technology. Keeping this in view CBSE conducted a workshop on Capacity Building Programme in Science for class X. The host school was BCM School, Basant Avenue, Dugri, Ludhiana. It was attended by 30 delegates of various schools across the region.
The interactive session was conducted by the resource persons Devendra Mahal, former Principal and Monika Jain, HOD Science, PKR Jain Sr. Sec School, Ambala. The event started with lamp lighting to seek Almighty’s blessings which was followed by floral welcome of the resource persons by the School Principal Dr. Vandna Shahi. The session was commenced with rejuvenating activities and the teachers participated enthusiastically in the group discussion and sought answers to their queries.
Some informative videos were also shown to the teachers. The handouts were given which were to be summarized by the teachers segregated into various groups. The resource persons laid stress on effective use of science in daily life. They focused on scientific methods of learning science. Some tips were given to improve proficiency of the teachers. It was a hands-on experience which helped the teachers to create, collaborate and communicate.
There was an overwhelming response from the participants. This exhilarating programme accelerated their confidence also. It was a real learning in harmonious and holistic environment. The workshop culminated with a vote of thanks by the participants of the workshop.
